HOW
TO CLEAN LEATHER
First of all : "correctly identify
which leather type that you are treating. For example, is it Pigmented
(protected), Aniline, Suede or Nubuck.". This is very important
because there are different treatments for different leather types.
CLEANING LEATHER METHOD
Leather is a natural product and its surface
contains "pores". This helps the leather to breathe.
The surface of the leather, if looked at under a
microscope, will show an uneven surface and when leather becomes soiled,
the soiling embeds itself into the 'valleys' of the leather. Please
remember, that by rubbing hard on the leather surface, you will only push
the dirt deeper into the leather.
Add a small quantity of either the soft or strong
leather cleaner onto your soft sponge or cloth. Gently squeeze the sponge
or cloth from the side and you will see the leather cleaner start to foam.
Apply the foam to the leather and rub lightly over the surface. Leave for
a short time for the foam to absorb the dirt and rub off with an absorbent
material such as kitchen towel. As you remove the foam, the soiling will
be removed too.
You might have to repeat these steps two or three
times until the leather is clean.
Remember to dry thoroughly before applying the
Leather protection Cream.
